Last Sunday (10/10) we were invited to attend the annual Chancellor's Ridge Fall Festival by our friends, the Giovanellos, who live in the Chancellor's Ridge neighborhood. So after soccer we headed home for a quick change in clothing, and then we were off to crash the party. The community does a great job of putting on a carnival for their neighborhood. They had all the elements to make it both fun for the kids and the adults. You can tell this community is pretty close and they have lots of fun parties like this, one of the benefits to living in a 400+ home neighborhood. Good thing it's right down the road and we have several friends that live there; it makes it much easier for us to crash the party. Thanks for the invitation Giovanellos, we had a great time!!
Check out all these great decorations!!
....always a good time in the bounce house!!
Emerson got some up-close and personal time with a very cute bunny!!
Emerson was so excited about riding the pony. This was her first time on a horse and she did great (her Auntie Di would be so proud). For mom's sanity, I think we will stick to ponies for awhile, though!!
It's only fitting that the two budding ballerinas danced a little jig to some
good 'ol southern bluegrass. They had a blast (as you will see in the video below)!!!
After all that dancing, it was time for a break and a snack.
I love this next series of pictures. I'm calling it:
A Girl, Her Popcorn, and Some Bluegrass!!!
The look on Emerson's face is priceless when asked if she will share her popcorn with Aurora....really?
After the dancing escapades, Emerson and Aurora were excited to see the fire truck. They had both just seen the fire truck a few days earlier when it visited their school. Emerson was scared of the truck the day it came to school; the siren was too loud. But, it was a little more approachable at the festival when it was siren-free.
Our little pumpkin!!!
