Halloween Parade at DaycareLast Friday (10/29), Emerson's daycare had a very small Halloween parade and invited the parents to come. The parade was supposed to begin at 9:30 am, but when I arrived at 9:27 am the parade was over. (Note to self: Always arrive early to a daycare event, they always seem to start earlier than planned.) Needless to say, I got a few shots of Emerson and her friends in their costumes but none of the parade. I think the kids really enjoyed the parade and enjoyed wearing their costumes to school. After all the picture taking, running around, and showing off their costumes, we headed inside and I helped Ms. Colleen change all the children. Then it was back home and back to work, but this was a great break in my morning routine.

Halloween Ballet Class
Just like every Friday, I picked Emerson up from daycare and we headed to her ballet/tap class. But last Friday was a special class because all the kids wore their Halloween costumes. Emerson was so excited that she got to wear Little Bo Peep twice in one day; first to her daycare parade and now to dance class. All the girls looked so cute in the costumes. For the last five minutes of class, the teacher invited all the parents in to watch the girls dance. They had been working on a very simple routine to the song, "One Eyed, One Horned, Flying Purple People Eater". Everyone did a great job and you can tell they are all making great progress in their dancing skills. I can't wait 'til the spring recital!!!
